Hemsby has good walks along the beach and the dunes . Winterton is in one direction about 11/2 miles  walk with shops in the village and toilets.  Scratby is in the other direction about a mile walk with toilets and a Cafe just off from the cliffs in Beach Road. Hemsby has a good bus service into Gt Yarmouth every 1/2 hr in season Buses meet the trains on Saturdays and drop off at most holiday sites   There are many take-a-ways /shops/amusements in Beach Road.  Good sandy beaches with a lifeguard in peak season 10 to 15 mins walk from the chalet.

There is a swimming pool in Beach Road near the bus stop on the Richardsons site and one in Beach Road Newport on the Bermuda site about 5mins walk away

Great Yarmouth has a Wed/Fri/Sat market,  Horse racing at Yarmouth racecourse and Greyhound and Stockcars at Yarmouth stadium both Hemsby side of Gt Yarmouth. Shows are held on the pier each week plus Gorleston old time music hall

Norwich has good shopping malls  a train runs from Gt Yarmouth station.  Norfolk broads are only 15 minutes away at Potter Heigham, Boat hire , fishing and one of the largest fishing shops on the broads,

Lowestoft has Pleasure Wood Hills theme park with much much more in the area.
